shop by numbers: fall arrivals
Hi friends! First off, thank you so much for all the kind comments on last week’s letter. I love that it resonated with so many of you. I am coming off a weekend of solo parenting both kids and sipping bone broth at my local Erewhon to hopefully boost my immune system.
I wanted to put together a little edit of items that might scratch the shopping itch and update your wardrobe but aren’t full Fall with a capital F purchases….like this Acne hat or Simone Rocha neckerchief. We have two trips coming up next month to locales that lend themselves to greater states of dressing than L.A. where everyone, as my dad so kindly puts it, “wears their best t-shirt” to nice dinners (myself included). That being said, I recently went to a 40th birthday dinner for my friend Danielle and it was so wonderful to dress up.. I wore a black lace Ralph Lauren dress that I found at Reformation Vintage (LA friends- do not sleep on their selection, the best stuff is in the back) and a leather jacket that I was overjoyed to put on after a few weeks of sweltering temps.
I’ll cover fall dressing soon and share a few recent outfits, but for now here are some fun new arrivals from across the internet.
OH! and I am not unaware that it’s fashion week- l am getting most of my coverage via Jalil Johnson and laura reilly. I am really loving what guests wore to the Tibi show which they shared on their IG here. As always, street style > runway style.The short term trick, at least for me, in viewing these runway looks is picking up on styling… the way a shirt is tucked or a scarf is worn is much more inspiring (and realistic) than recreating a head to toe runway look. That being said….the Tibi pre-order is open and I am tempted!

In case you’re wondering what’s tempting me the most in the above list, I bought myself this rugby and these sneakers.
Treated myself to a Sephora haul this weekend (tbh hadn’t placed one since early April and that’s a long time for me, though I did go IRL early last month)- picked up the Tower28 eyeshadow stick in a few different shades, Ouai deodorant, best brow pencil of all time, Kosas lipstick, Rhode lipliner, and Eadem gloss.
